Happy birthday to the forever under-appreciated John Cena. I was one of the haters for the longest time, I would chant "Cena Sucks!" as loud as I possibly could. However, it has become painfully obvious that the WWE desperately needs this guy back. The product has been boring as all hell without him. For your birthday, I wish you a speedy recovery Mr. Cena. Let's take a look at some of Cena's best moments in the WWE.
John Cena returning at the Garden was such an awesome moment. Of course, back in 2008 I hated his guts so I was absolutely pissed when he won. I'm almost over it now. Almost.
I remember freaking out when Cena lifted both Edge and the Big Show. Lifting the Big Show is impressive enough, but Edge too? I began to think that John Cena wasn't a human being. I'm still a bit skeptical of him being a part of our species. He may be an alien. I'm not saying he is an alien, I'm just floating it out there. John Cena was also victorious at Wrestlemania 25 and a little part of me died inside.
John Cena defeated the Rock at Wrestlemania 29 and subsequently destroyed my childhood. I wandered the streets hollow inside, looking at the Cenation with disdain. But hey, I'm over it now. Big Match John deserved the win and it was a huge moment in his career. Jokes aside, John Cena is a legend. There are so many great moments throughout his career and he isn't even close to being finished yet. He has the ability to get the crowd pissed off or cheering by just standing there. The fact is, people like me disliking him only makes him better. I sincerely wanted him to lose every single match back in the day. Nowadays, I'm actually a fan of John Cena. He is an incredible worker and is a hell of a lot more interesting than most of the Superstars WWE trots out today. So on that note, happy birthday to you John Cena. The WWE Universe cannot wait for you to come back, even if they wont admit it.
PS: Here are some "His Name is John Cena!" vines, because why not?
