First Match: The New Day vs The League of Nations for the WWE Tag Team Titles
This was a great match to kick off the show. The entire match was back and forth. At one point it looked like King Barrett had the win but Xavier Woods distracted the referee. Eventually, Big E hit the Big Ending and the New Day retained their titles. Overall a great match, however I enjoyed the promo before the match more than the match itself.
Second Match: Y2J vs Jack Swagger
This was a decent match for just randomly being thrown on the card. Once again, I enjoyed Jericho's promo before the match more than the match itself. Jericho picked up the victory over Swagger via submission.
Third Match: Dash and Dawson (The Revival) vs Enzo and Cass for the NXT Tag Team Titles
The crowd was pumped for Enzo and Cass throughout the whole match. It was awesome to see NXT talent get that type of reaction on a larger platform. This was an excellent match. My favorite spot was when Cass through Enzo on top of the Revival outside of the ring.
Dash and Dawson wound up getting the victory and that makes sense to me. Enzo and Cass are destined to win the title and it will most likely happen in Dallas on Wrestlemania weekend.
Fourth Match: Charlotte vs Natalya for the Divas Title
Natalya gave a shoutout to Bret Hart before the match. She dedicated the match to him. This was a terrific match. I feel like most people don't realize just how good Natalya is as a performer. The highlight of this match for me was when Natalya locked in the sharpshooter. The crowd in Toronto absolutely erupted.
As I wrote in my prediction blog, Ric Flair would somehow factor into this match. He distracted Natalya and Charlotte got the victory via a roll up and using her feet on the ropes. I really enjoy Charlotte's character and Ric Flair being half in the bag outside the ring during her matches.
Fifth Match: Bray Wyatt vs Brock Lesnar
My thoughts going into this match was that it would be a complete squash match. The WWE completely ignored the fact that the Wyatt's cost Brock Lesnar the title in the Royal Rumble when they attacked him. Instead, Lesnar just moved right on to Dean Ambrose and Wyatt was an afterthought. This match had no momentum going into to it. Bray Wyatt came out and said that this match will be a 2 on 1 match with Luke Harper joining Wyatt.
Wyatt didn't even get into the ring. He ran away from Lesnar and looked rather weak. It is impossible to take the Wyatt family seriously now. Lesnar hit a bunch of german suplexes and an F-5 to get the pin over Luke Harper.
Sixth Match: Sami Zayn vs Stardust
Sami Zayn is from Montreal so the crowd was extra excited when he came out. This was a decent match for what it was. I'm all for matches like this to fill time rather than a pointless promo or a boring backstage interview. Sami Zayn got the victory over Stardust via pinfall.
Main Event: Dean Ambrose vs Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
The crowd seemed rather bored during the beginning of this match, even resorting to a CM Punk chant. I'm not exactly sure why that chant still exists but it does. The match wound up being pretty good and as expected, Triple H retained. The show was barely 2 and a half hours in total, but overall was a decent enough show. The highlight of the Ambrose/Triple H match was when Dean went flying through the commentary table.
