Wow! I didn't see that one coming. After last night's horrible Fastlane PPV, I knew the WWE had to have something up their sleeves. Last night's show got such a negative reaction throughout the WWE universe and really made it seem like this year's Wrestlemania was doomed. Welp, we were all wrong because Shane McMahon has returned to save the day!
It turns out that Shane McMahon wants to take over Monday Night Raw because Stephanie and Triple H have been running the show into the ground. Vince McMahon says he will agree if he beats the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 32 in a steel cage. Holy shitballs! Now, that sounds like one hell of a fun match. However, is the Undertaker now a heel and aligning himself with Vince McMahon? I can't wait to see how this plays out in the upcoming weeks.
Another match was also set for Wrestlemania. Brock Lesnar will face Dean Ambrose in a streetfight. Lesnar attacked Ambrose before the show started and sent him to the hospital. However, in typical ridiculous WWE fashion, Ambrose drove back into the arena in the ambulance. Ambrose challenged Lesnar to the match at Wrestlemania and received an F-5 for his troubles, as well as an accepted challenge.
Besides Shane McMahon returning, the end of Raw was the highlight of the show. Keep in mind that Triple H is supposed to be the heel in this scenario and imagine him being cheered like he just rescued a baby. He beat the absolute shit out of Roman Reigns and capped it off with a pedigree on the steel steps. Roman Reigns was getting booed out of the building, even while he was getting the hell kicked out of him. Hell, at one point Triple H was bashing his head off the table over and over and a "Yes!" chant broke out in the crowd.
I don't know how in the hell the WWE is going to try to find their way out of this one. The crowd just doesn't like Roman Reigns. The crowd isn't really into Triple H versus Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania to begin with, but once again the WWE is stuck. It is becoming a pattern of booking lame main events at big shows and seemingly all of them involve Roman Reigns. It is getting to the point where I almost feel bad for the guy. However, this Raw was awesome and got rid of some of the stench left behind by Fastlane the night before. I don't think they expect a rousing cheer for Triple H to end the show though. They still have some work to do.
