The kickoff show started with Ryback vs Kalisto for the United States Championship.
There was an awesome spot in the match where Ryback held up Kalisto for a suplex for what felt like an eternity.
Kalisto wound up getting the win by Ryback hitting the exposed turnbuckle and then getting hit with the Salida del Sol.
Team Total Divas (Natalya, Paige, Alicia Fox, Brie Bella and Eva Marie) vs. B.A.D. and Blond (Lana, Tamina Snuka, Naomi, Emma and Summer Rae)
This match was far more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Lana made her in-ring debut for WWE and did a couple of decent moves.
Brie Bella wound up getting the win via the Yes! Lock. It was a pretty awesome moment given the fact that Brie Bella will most likely be retiring soon.
Lita comes out to the ring and reveals the new WWE Women's Championship.
The Dudley Boys vs The Usos was up next. I had little interest in this match and thankfully it was a short bout. There were a couple of good spots in the match.
The Usos wound up getting the victory and after the match put the Dudley Boyz through some tables.
Finally, the main show begins.
Kevin Owens (c) vs. The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn vs. Stardust vs. Zack Ryder vs. Sin Cara in a Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Holy smokes this match was amazing. It was a total spot-fest and there is nothing wrong with that in my book.
The finish to the match shocked the hell out of me. I never in a million years thought that Zack Ryder would win the match and become Intercontinental Championship.
Chris Jericho vs AJ Styles
I figured that this match would be the match of the night, however I began to doubt that after watching the ladder match. This match was very good and was back and forth the entire time.
Just like the ladder match, I didn't expect this finish at all. I completely expected AJ Styles to win, however Chris Jericho wound up hitting the codebreaker for the victory.
The League Of Nations vs. The New Day in a Handicap Match for “Tag Team Supremacy”
The New Day is very entertaining but I had little interest in this match and I'm not sure why. It was originally supposed to be a match for the tag team titles but the WWE changed that. It was pretty obvious that the League of Nations would wind up winning the match once it wasn't for the titles. However, it was what happened after the match that was awesome. Stone Cold, Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels came out and whooped some ass.
Brock Lesnar vs Dean Ambrose in a Street Fight was up next.
This match was a little disappointing to me. I knew that Lesnar would win but I thought there would be more crazy spots from Dean Ambrose.
Instead, it was pretty much Suplex City with a couple moves from Dean Ambrose. It was certainly an entertaining match, but I was just expecting more. Lesnar gets the win with an F-5 onto a pile of chairs.
Charlotte (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women's Championship
This was a very good match that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Charlotte wound up winning and becoming the first WWE Women's Champion. Ric Flair wound up getting involved and holding Sasha Banks back to stop the Figure 8.
Shane McMahon vs the Undertaker in a Hell in Cell match was next. I thought for sure that this would be the main-event, but once again I was wrong. Shane McMahon came out with his kids and it was awesome.
This match lived up to the hype and had a bunch of amazing moments.
I was really hoping that Shane McMahon would win, but unfortunately that was not the case. The Undertaker got the win and I guess that means more of the Authority promos to open Monday Night Raw. Lovely.
Baron Corbin won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. It was an ok time-waster of a match. Shaq was randomly in it. So.. yeah.
The Rock showed up and had a flame-thrower. It was dumb.
Thankfully, the Wyatt family showed up and I finally had hope that the WWE was going to push them.
However, my hopes were quickly tossed out the window when the Rock had an impromptu match with Erick Rowan and beat him in 6 seconds. The Wyatt Family then surrounded the Rock and was about to attack him. John Cena came out and made the save.
The Rock and John Cena then hit a bunch of moves on the Wyatt Family.
As John Cena and the Rock celebrated at the top of the ramp I began to try to comprehend what I just watched. Essentially, the Wyatt Family was just buried for the 10,000th time, so I will never take them seriously again. Don't make me sit through another Bray Wyatt promo if this is the crap that you are going to "pay it off" with. This was a cool Wrestlemania moment if you haven't watched WWE in 5 years, for everybody else it was idiotic.
Welp... it is main-event time. Triple H is defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns. I cannot wait to see what twists and turns the WWE has planned for this one.
I mean, surely they won't just have Roman Reigns win the match without turning him heel... right?
That.. that.. that.. that... that would just be absurd. The WWE wouldn't be that stubborn, right?
Oh. Roman Reigns is champion.. as a face. This show started out great then just totally bummed me out towards the end. It was a very "safe" Wrestlemania and one that leaves most of the WWE universe in a state of boredom, rather than shock.
