Is it possible that the Undertaker will lose to Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 32? I hope so.
I thought it was bullshit that the WWE ended the streak to Brock Lesnar a couple of years ago for a number of reasons. The main reason is that it I felt like it never should have been broken. It was a Wrestlemania tradition, come watch the Undertaker nearly get defeated but ultimately pull it out in the end. I never wanted to see the streak end, but if it had to I would have preferred someone other than Brock Lesnar. The fact is that Lesnar simply didn't need that added to his resume, he was/is already a star. Now, if Bray Wyatt was the one who broke the streak, that is a whole different story. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and the streak is a distant memory. The Undertaker has a loss on his Wrestlemania resume, so does that make it easier for him to lose again at this year's Wrestlemania?
I don't see a way Shane McMahon wins without some kind of outside interference. There have been some rumors that John Cena might try and return for Wrestlemania. Maybe he will effectively be Shane's manager for the match and Vince or someone else will have the Undertaker's back. Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Rock are also going to be at Wrestlemania, so maybe they could have something to do with the outcome of this match. Personally, I'm hoping for a return of the Mean Street Posse.
The odds of the Undertaker losing at a Wrestlemania in his home state seem astronomical. I mean, there is no way they would have him lose right? However, this is the WWE and they do batshit crazy things all the time. I've already mentioned randomly ending the streak on a mid-card match at Wrestlemania 30.
So maybe we are in for a huge surprise at Wrestlemania this year and the Undertaker will now have two losses at the biggest wrestling show of the year. Anything is possible. However, if I had to make a prediction, the Undertaker wins but the storyline won't end at Wrestlemania. This is the most interesting thing to happen in wrestling since the "Yes!" movement with Daniel Bryan. I don't see the WWE moving on from this storyline right after Wrestlemania ends.
