This series should be awesome. The Oklahoma City Thunder have been thought of chokers and for good reason, but their decisive victory over the Spurs last round has changed a lot of minds. I thought for sure the Spurs were going to walk right through the Thunder, and Durant and Westbrook would have added yet another title-less run to their legacy. However, I'm now beginning to think that the Thunder might actually have a chance in this series. Steph Curry needs to have a few off games for it to happen, but it is possible.
The Warriors have already beaten the Thunder three times this year, so it still is a long shot. However, is Russell Westbrook doesn't try to play hero-ball and realizes that he is the second best player on OKC, the Thunder have a great chance. Steven Adams has really stepped up his game in these playoffs and if he can keep that going, who knows what the will happen. All I know that the Western Conference Finals are 10,000 times more exciting than the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Cavs versus the Raptors. Holy smokes. I'm predicting a sweep by Cleveland. Lebron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving are just way too much for the Raptors to handle. Whether it is the Warriors or the Thunder, the Cavs will have a chance against either of those teams. I thought that was impossible given all the shenanigans that went on this season with Lebron unfollowing his own team on social media and all of that nonsense.
Tonight the NBA playoffs officially start. The Spurs vs the Thunder was an interesting series, but it became pretty clear that the Spurs just didn't have it anymore. The Warriors/Thunder series will be an absolute blast, the Cavs/Raptors series not so much. Toronto could surprise everyone and make it a series but I seriously doubt it. Like always, I hope I'm wrong.
