With Marshawn Lynch active, many experts are probably changing their minds on picking this game. Those who originally picked Carolina will use words like "x-factor" or "game-changer" when referring to Marshawn Lynch. They will then subsequently change their pick from Carolina to Seattle and yammer on and on about "Beast Mode" Marshawn Lynch. In my opinion, having Lynch back for this game makes no difference, Carolina still wins.
It has been Cam Newton's year and he is surely going to win the MVP. He led his Panthers to a 15-1 season with a less than par supporting cast. Injuries happened left and right to the Panthers and they still posted the best record in the NFL. Cam Newton might piss people off because he celebrates too much. You know, those old curmudgeons that think Cam needs to "play the game the right way!" Whatever the hell that means. I like being entertained and I enjoy watching someone get better each year at what they do.
The Seattle Seahawks should have been eliminated last week, but Blair Walsh had the worst field goal attempt I have ever seen and cost the Vikings the game. In retrospect, that was probably a good thing because nobody wanted to see the Vikings vs the Panthers (no offense Vikings fans). This is the match up everyone wants to see and this is the time a national audience gets to witness just how great Cam Newton has become.
