In week 15, the Arizona Cardinals absolutely destroyed the Green Bay Packers 38-8. Will things be different this time? While Green Bay certainly played well last week against the Washington Redskins in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, it doesn't just erase their previous poor performances. The Packers have not found a way to replace Jordy Nelson's production since he was injured in the preseason. Their young receivers haven't been able to get separation from corners and they are relying way too much on James Jones. It seems like the Packers have no chance tonight against the Cardinals.
With all of that being said, it is still Aaron freakin' Rodgers. There is no way Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will be embarrassed twice in the matter of weeks by the same team. At the very least, Aaron Rodgers will show up tonight and make it a game. However, Aaron Rodgers alone cannot with this game for Green Bay. Eddie Lacy needs to show up to help out this horrific offensive line that Green Bay is trotting out there. If Lacy doesn't make any plays, Rodgers is going to be sacked 9 times, trumping the 8 he was sacked by the Cardinals in week 15.
The only trepidation I have with the Arizona Cardinals is Carson Palmer. He is capable of making that brutal mistake that costs his team the game, but he is just as capable of throwing a 95 yard bomb for a touchdown. I don't think Carson Palmer is capable of costing the Cardinals this game though. I think the Cardinals will win this one comfortably, simply because the Packers offense won't be able to make enough plays to stay in the game.
