After a 31-0 halftime lead over the Seahawks, the Carolina Panthers played not to lose and it nearly cost them. However, that first half was a complete beatdown of Seattle and Cam Newton played lights out. It really is amazing what Newton has done this year with limited options at receiver. Ted Ginn Jr. can run as fast as anybody I've ever seen but he's dropped more balls than puberty. Whammmyyyyy!
Then on the other hand you've got Carson Palmer who single-handedly tried to throw away the game last week against the Green Bay Packers. You can take the man out of Cincinnati but you can't take the Cincinnati out of the man. On offense, Arizona is the more talented team but it is just hard for me to believe in Carson Palmer. Who knows, things can change. We've all changed as we go through our lives, maybe this is the week that Carson Palmer changes and plays clutch football.
Having said that, I don't see it. Carolina is playing at home and I believe they learned their lesson last week that they cannot take their foot off the gas pedal. Cam Newton will play a complete game and show even the few doubters that remain that he deserved the MVP. It will be entertaining to watch the old farts flip out about Cam Newton celebrating on twitter throughout the game.
