The Bengals had the chance to move up the the number #2 seed and get the bye they desperately needed. Unfortunately, the worst possible outcome happened, as it tends to with the Bengals. If the Chargers beat the Broncos today, the Bengals would move up to the #2 seed and the Broncos would have fallen all the way down to the #5 seed. It was not to be, for the tremendously tremendous Peyton Manning galloped onto the field and led his mighty Broncos to the victory. I'm already sick of the media tongue-bath they are giving Manning already, it is going to be a long week.
The Bengals are now the #3 seed and have to face the Steelers in Cincinnati. Yikes. With AJ McCarron at QB, the Bengals have to somehow find a way to the Steelers for their first playoff win in 25 years. The Bengals have found ways to lose to TJ Yates and the Texans; I don't see how they are going to defeat Roethlisberger and the Steelers. Anything is possible, but seriously today was the worst possible outcome for the Bengals.
Tom Brady and the Patriots lost again this week. I know the Patriots have a ton of injuries, but I can't recall a time they have lost 4 out of 6 games to close out a season. Also, why does Lafell all of the sudden suck? e was a big part of the Patriots success last year and he has been invisible all year. I still think the Patriots are the best team in the AFC, but it is shocking to me how poor they have looked recently. The AFC open for the taking and it wouldn't surprise me if a team like the Steelers winds up winning it. Heck, why not even a team like the Chiefs? Ya never know. Or maybe it will be Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady once again and I don't think anybody would complain about that outcome.
