After his second straight horrendous outing, Buchholz was as cool as a cucumber when talking to the media.
Hell yeah mannn, the Red Sox are only seven games into the season bro. Everybody just chill out and block out the bad vibes man. Seriously though, I hate Clay Buchholz. He is the most unreliable athlete I've ever seen. He is a total mental case. The second Blake Swihart misplayed the foul ball from Trumbo and let it fall to the ground, I knew the game was over. A few pitches later, Buchholz serves up an absolute meatball to Trumbo that was hit out of Fenway Park. The pitch was right down the middle of the plate, however Buchholz claims he threw it right where he wanted to. Excellent accountability by Mr. Accountable himself, Clay Buchholz.
There is already a sense of dread for this entire Red Sox season. The lineup is hitting exceptionally well, yet the Red Sox are 3-4. There is no way the offense can keep up this pace and their also no good reason to believe that the pitching will get better. David Price will bounce back and perform, but how can anyone realistically believe that Buchholz, Kelly or Porcello are going to turn things around? They were terrible last year and have finished in last place in the division for two years in a row.
Clay Buchholz is correct, the Boston Red Sox are just seven games into their 2016 season. However, every single fear that fans had about this team has already played out. Joe Kelly has a 21.00 ERA and cannot control his fast ball and hit a guy in the head in his first start. He then took a deep breath and gave up a grand-slam to Josh Donaldson on the next pitch. Rick Porcello gave up two homeruns in his first start and Clay Buchholz is Clay Buchholz.
But hey, no worries bros. Only seven games in, 155 to go. The Red Sox have Machine Gun Joe Kelly on the mound tonight to put an end to the 3 game losing streak. I cannot wait to see future the future Cy Young award winner toss some bullets tonight. I'm sure everything will go swimmingly.
