For some idiotic reason AMC was trying to figure out a way to allow texting in their theaters. Look, just because idiots cannot shut their phones off two 90 minutes, doesn't mean the rest of us have to suffer. Is there anything more douchey in this world than using your phone in a movie theater? All of the sudden a blinding light skyrockets to the ceiling of the theater illuminating the outline of a massive tool. All you can do is stare at the shadow of this asshole's head while he or she texts their idiotic friend or asking some 45 year old man posing as a 22 year old girl on tinder for a boob pic.
There should never be a "texting section" for these disgusting individuals. Once that light pops up from their seat, for all intents and purposes screaming "I'm a douche!", that person should be removed from the auditorium. What the ushers decide to do with these people after they remove them is not my concern. If they are never to be seen again, is it a loss? I don't think so. Thankfully, the internet rebelled against AMC and they backed down. Movie theaters are soon to be a thing of the past and that saddens me. I used to love to go to the movies, but with the increase of douchebags that attend them it was already becoming difficult for me to even bother going. If this ridiculous idea went through, I would never have a reason to go to the movies again.
