Look, the odds are that it won't matter in the long run and the Patriots will win in Denver anyways, but it still could have been much easier. As Mike Ditka would utter in between farts, "C'mon Man!". Peyton Manning loses all ability to play the quarterback position if the temperature is below 40 degrees. Well, how do you think Manning would handle a little snow on top of freezing temperatures? There would be absolutely no doubt in New England that the Pats would demolish Manning at Gillette Stadium. Now, there is a slight amount of doubt.
What if the Patriots lose in Denver by 3 points? I think many Patriots may change the phrase from "in Bill we trust" to "Bill, what the fuck?" Many media members in Boston questioned Belichick's game-plan against the Miami Dolphins in the final game of the season where they tries to seemingly convince themselves that they have the ability to run the ball.
Imagine if everything comes back to bite Belichick and the Patriots and they lose this game. Tom Brady has always struggled in Denver (his record is 2-6), so it isn't completely impossible for New England to be defeated by the Broncos this Sunday. If this game was in Foxboro, MA, it would already be over. There would literally be no chance for the Denver Broncos. However, as fate or Belichick would have it, the Patriots will have to win the AFC Championship on the road.
