I know it is only game 2 of the NBA Finals, but doesn't it already feel like a must win game for Lebron and the Cavaliers? If you wrote a script for the most winnable game the Cavs would have in Oracle, game 1 would be it. Steph and Klay essentially sucked and could only muster 20 points combined. Cleveland out-rebounded the Warriors, I mean everything went their way. Well, except the scoreboard. The Cavs somehow managed to lose by 15 points in a game where the Warriors stars didn't show up. I don't see Steph and Klay having another night like that for the rest of this series, so it feels like the Cavs blew a huge opportunity in game 1.
Having said that, if the Cavs win tonight, everything changes. The will have stolen one on the road and Cleveland is so desperate for a championship, their home crowd just may blow the roof of the building for game 3. It just doesn't seem possible that the Cavs have the ability to win after watching game 1. Kevin Love played excellent, it was Kyrie Irving who played like a moron. I feel like the reverse of that is going to happen tonight. Kevin Love is going to turtle again and then Lebron is going to try to do everything himself. Irving will go off for a little bit but eventually, Golden State's depth will overwhelm the Cavs. All it takes is a couple minutes of Steph and Klay burying threes for the game to be over. I can just see that happening tonight at the end of the third quarter and the Cavs not knowing what just hit them.
Hopefully, I am wrong because I want an entertaining series. There haven't been too many entertaining basketball games this year in the NBA playoffs. Even in the OKC/Golden State series, there were too many blowouts. Game 1 of the NBA Finals was a total shit-show. For a brief moment, Cleveland got back in and took the lead. Then Dellavedova hit Iguodala in his Iggies and the entire game changed.
Ultimately, I want Golden State to win just so all of the trolls have to shut up that think they aren't a legit team. All of those old timers that get their depends in a bunch because the game is changing, I wan't to see those people pissed. It brings joy to my heart, so I want the Warriors to win. However, I want a series so I'm forced to root for Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. Sometimes life is difficult, but you got to grit your teeth and bare down. Let's go Lebron! Let's go Cavs! Show up tonight so I can watch you choke away a championship in game 7!
