Claude Julien is still the Bruins coach after two epic collapses in a row for his team. This entire year, the Boston Bruins seemed to just be going through the motions and it was a special occasion when the team showed up and played well. There were a handful of games that the Bruins played well at home this year out of the 41 times they dragged their asses onto the ice at the TD Garden. In the final game of the season, where all that they needed was 1 point, they lost 6-1 to the Ottawa Senators. The Ottawa Senators have already fired their coach this offseason.
It doesn't make sense to me that GM Don Sweeney can sit in front of actual human beings that can form actual thoughts and move their mouths to create sounds and spew the absolute nonsense he did yesterday.
How can a team that underachieved as much as this one did this year not need a major overhaul? Are we supposed to believe that the Bruins wont be making major changes to the roster this offseason? If they just make a couple minor changes, how are fans of the team just going to accept that? The Bruins were a bummer to watch all season and now I'm worried that will be the case next year. How could it not be if they are keeping the same coach and not making major changes to the roster?
It seems the Bruins are skating right into irrelevancy again.
