I mean it is beyond obvious that this game is a must win for the Celtics. They cannot go down 3-1 to Atlanta in this series with game 5 being in Atlanta. The Celtics looked so atrocious playing in Atlanta, there is no way in hell they are winning two games there. Asking for them to win one game there is tough, given how brutal they looked in games 1 and 2. They absolutely need to win tonight in Boston and tie the series 2-2. That is obvious and everyone knows that if they lose tonight the series is pretty much over.
Even in victory, Marcus Smart embarrassed himself in game 3. These are nationally televised games and the guy is flopping around like a madman the entire game. Smart acted like he was fatally wounded in game 3 and got no call. The referees are ignoring him and rightfully so. This guy has already built up a bad reputation with the officials, I just wish he would reign it in a bit. He needs to play well tonight for the Celtics to have any chance.
Odds are Atlanta won't allow Isaiah Thomas to score 42 points again, so the offense has to come from somewhere. Kelly Olynyk is available tonight so maybe he can make some shots. Hopefully he is not rusty from missing time with the shoulder injury. The first few minutes of the game tonight are ridiculously important. If the Celtics start hot again like they did in game 3, I like their chances. If they lay a wet-fart down on the floor like they did in the beginning of games 1 & 2, then it is going to be a long night.
I'm predicting a Celtics buzzer beater tonight by Marcus Smart... even though I've been bashing him for weeks. Tonight he will channel his inner Paul Pierce. I'm talking clutch Paul Pierce, not fake being injured and come back out in a wheel chair. Although the latter is very possible.
